Panasonic Corporation Story:
One of the world’s leading electronic manufacturers and developers is the Panasonic Corporation, which is based in Osaka. The company offers an array of electronics for industrial, business and consumer needs. The company has been in business for decades, going back to Thailand 1961. During the years, the company has expanded its operation, now in business in nine countries that include 75 companies. The company’s workforce is around 82,000 and, at the end of March 2007, the company was worth $77.19 billion.
Panasonic Asia Pacific became the regional headquarters for the Oceania and Asia regions in 2001, offering support in information communication, logistics, human resource development, financial services and productivity enhancement for regional Panasonic companies. In June 1974, the Matsushita Electric Trading company was formed, which eventually became the Asia Matsushita Electric in April 1989. Due to the worldwide collaboration of the Panasonic brand, it eventually became known as the Panasonic Asia Pacific in October 2004.
